Wellbeing in Swale Schools

24th September 2021

Wellbeing Priority

As part of our commission from KCC we are able to offer free wellbeing projects to primary & secondary schools in Swale! It is great to be back and able to offer in-person wellbeing projects to our local schools again!

More than that, we know how much of a priority wellbeing, emotional, and mental health support is for young people. This is especially true after the last 18 months. Here at Swale Youth, we are busy creating opportunities, training, and events for young people to thrive, including through our delivery in school. So what is on offer?

Wellbeing Offers

Peer Mentoring Boosts Wellbeing

Over the last five years, we have worked with a number of schools to deliver Peer Mentoring training, development, and support for Secondary school pupils in Swale. Currently, we have over 60 young people from Year 8 to Year 13 trained and meeting up 1:1 to support younger students. If you would like us to come to your school, we offer training, support & accreditation for our Peer Mentoring course, at no cost. Get in touch with louise@brogdalecic.co.uk to find out more.

*NEW* Buddy Course

We have often been asked by primary schools if we would consider training Year 5 & 6's as Playground Buddies! We love that idea! Last year, we piloted a course with Ospringe School, which ended with our group of Year 5's sending encouraging videos to Year 2 (as they couldn't cross bubbles). Now we are releasing our new Playground Buddy Course to schools! Do speak to louise@brogdalecic.co.uk if you would like to know more.

and so much more...

We have so much more on offer for free, for local primary and secondary schools. This includes; wellbeing workshops tailed to year group & need, lunchtime & after school clubs, and 1:1 or small group Early help mentoring with a trained adult.
