Twenty Two & You

14th January 2022

Twenty Two

I don't know about you, but I'm a bit bored of hearing people tell me how they're smashing their goals already! Maybe I'm jealous, maybe my goals take more time, maybe I don't want to set any goals this year - who knows!

Don't get me wrong, I love setting goals, but in the last two years it's felt like a way to be disappointed. I wanted to do things, but I could only do them if restrictions allowed (Boris says no became our theme). So instead of a list of achievements this year, I've set a list of things that make me feel good.

Increase Your Vibe

We thought, in Twenty-Two instead of talking about achieving goals at the start of the year, we would set you, a challenge to increase your fun! Instead of writing down goals straight away, write down a list of things you find fun.

Make it Personal

There are lots of ways we can have fun, but often we can find ourselves trying to fit in and do what other people tell us is fun. So take some time to think

  • What do you enjoy doing?
  • What activity makes you feel great?
  • What makes you laugh?
  • What makes you feel more you?
  • Who do you have fun with?
  • What sounds fun to you?

It might be your list is all the same kinds of things, you might even want to add in some trips or events that you think you would find fun. If you feel super creative, make a vision board out of it all!

Make it a priority

Now take this list a check off 12 of the activities. These are the 12 you want to make a priority of in Twenty Two. It sounds weird, but sometimes we get so lost in everyday life that we forget to make time to have fun! One of the items on my list is to get a record player and start a collection, another on my list is to go and visit the London Sky Garden because I think it looks amazing!

What is on your list - why not tell us on @swaleyouth or by emailing me louise@brogdalecic.co.uk and you never know, we might send something your way to help you achieve your goals!
