When the announcement for lockdown came, I was not as prepared as I thought for the way it would change me. I knew however (especially when I had to shield for a while) that my well being would dip as my usual support structures were not available. I love being around people, I love coffee shops(!) and I love getting outside (which wasn't available to me for the first three weeks.
I had to find some new ways to cope. At the same time, I was asked to create content for our social media! Easy life - I thought, all I have to do is pick up my phone and film!
I didn't realise the countless goes it would take to balance a phone just where I needed it, or how to stand for light to be correct... or as it seems, how bad I am at craft! I definitely have not earned a Blue Peter Badge!
However, its taught me a great lesson. It doesn't have to be perfect to be good. What I realised was it was good for me to do these things, even if they didn't become something that will become viral or pinned, or loved. Learning new skills takes time but the process is great for your mind. Check out some of my favourites below!
The cracked finger actually ended up looking good!
