Express Yourself!

3rd February 2021

Express Yourself

How are you feeling? I don't know about you but for me, it's one of the hardest questions to answer, especially at the moment in this third lockdown. I am an extrovert, when you ask m that, I probably feel energised because I have someone to talk to! This week in Fully You, we have been talking about how to express our emotions well and how this can be part of our wellbeing toolkit.

"Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.

It’s important to remember that being able to express yourself is not about being the best at something or putting on a performance for others. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself." Place2Be #childrensmentalhealthweek

How do you express Yourself - show us by tagging us in our latest Instagram initiative #myselfiecare where we are sharing 28 days of Self Care ideas

Wellbeing Chats

As part of #childrensmentalhealthweek we talked to Karen from Kooth.com about how to use the website & their new campaign #dontdoitalone. See the video here

Kooth.com is free, safe, and anonymous online support for young people. It is a great way to express yourself and so much more than just counselling. On the website, you can, chat with counsellors, read articles written by young people, get support from the Kooth community, write in a daily journal, even contribute to the magazine.

Kooth is open for young people 10-16 (up to 17th birthday) in the Kent area

New Face in the Friday night Filler

Last week Craigs Kitchen came to our Youtube Channel. Perhaps cooking (or pancake filling) is a way to express yourself, pop on the Friday Night FIller to see how to make yours
